How the LSS System was born 

A few years ago, I was called into a manufacturing plant that had just spent a fortune on a Lean Six Sigma program. The walls were covered with charts, the team had completed several projects, and the consultants had all flown home. Within months, the results were gone. Processes slipped back, waste crept in, and morale dropped.

Why?
Because Lean Six Sigma was treated as a separate initiative instead of being built into the company’s daily operating system. There was no framework to hold the gains in place.

That moment changed how I approach improvement. I realized the key to lasting success is integration — using the ISO 9001 Quality Management System as the backbone, and Lean Six Sigma as the muscle to make it stronger. This combination doesn’t just deliver improvements; it keeps them alive.
